A4Radar presents its automotive Child Presence Detection demo, developed for next-generation in-cabin safety applications. In this video, we show several real test scenarios: baby detection, baby and adult presence, water bottles used to validate false positive rejection, and baby detection on the vehicle floor.
The demo is powered by A4Radar’s proprietary CPD algorithm, fully developed in-house by our engineering team. It combines advanced MIMO radar sensing, 3D detection, vital signs monitoring, artificial intelligence and state-of-the-art signal processing to detect child presence reliably, even in challenging in-cabin positions. By combining presence detection with vital signs and AI-based analysis, A4Radar can better address corner cases and unusual in-cabin scenarios, while reducing false positives from everyday objects.
All processing runs in real time, embedded in a commercial RADAR system, demonstrating the maturity and deployability of the solution for automotive in-cabin applications.
